The 2025 Integrated Transit Land Use Plan is made up of five major transit sections, called corridors. They all converge in Charlotte's center city. Cross-town routes will provide connections and serve the areas between the corridors.
The corridors include: - South - North - Northeast - Southeast - West - Center City

The needs of each corridor are different and the plan reflects their uniqueness.
However, the plan provides these common elements: - Along the Corridors: Convenient access to rapid transit will be provided. The environment will be transit-oriented, with denser housing, mixed-use facilities and pedestrian-friendly development.
- Between the Corridors: The emphasis is on roads. Development will maintain a more suburban feel for people who enjoy larger yards and quiet neighborhoods.
- In the Towns: Rapid transit service will provide added mobility for several towns in Mecklenburg County, including Davidson, Huntersville, Matthews and Cornelius.
