One of the strategies developed by the Mecklenburg County Carbon Monoxide Team was to address the need for skilled carbon monoxide mechanical service technicians. The Charlotte Heating and Air Conditioning Contractors Association was approached to advance a training course for mechanical service staff. An experienced carbon monoxide educator was retained to hold class and field training sessions.

The mechanical contractors listed alphabetically below have attended and successfully completed the training course and qualify as a homeowner resource on residences with CO problems requiring diagnosis. These contractors also possess the minimum required diagnostic and service equipment and have service personnel who are properly trained in the operation and use of the equipment. Additional contractors will be added as they meet these requirements.
