There are no additional sworn officer personnel costs associated with the new 13 Division Plan.

Start up costs for the new University Division in FY07 include leasing and equipping the Division office, computer hardware and technology. Recurring expenses include University Division operating and maintenance expenses and technology license fees.  

$360,000 in savings from CMPD's FY2006 budget is being used to lease and equip the new University Division Office.

The technology start-up costs came from assets forfeiture funds.  Recurring FY07 expenses will be covered through CMPD's operating budget.

Ongoing recurring operating and technology expenses, estimated to be $193,754 in FY08, will be requested in CMPD's FY08 budget.
