Westover Division

About Us

The Westover Division occupies 16.5 square miles of west Charlotte. This division includes several older and historic areas, as well as commercial and industrial sites. The Westover Division office is currently located at 1540 West Blvd at the intersection of West Boulevard and Remount Road in the Westover Shopping Center. There are 84 police officers, 3 Response Area Commanders, 5 sergeants, 1 Investigative Technician and a Captain assigned to the division. Our Investigative Technican works Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm and assists walk in customers.

The division is divided into three geographically distinct response areas.  Each has a Response Area Team that is responsible for reducing crime at the neighborhood level.  A Response Area Commander leads each team and serves as the area's primary police representative. The division also has a Focused Mission Team which the division commander is able to deploy strategically to be a proactive force in crime hot spots and to address emerging problems.

For more information about division personnel, points of contact, Response Area Teams, and special units and projects, please view the additional information about the division.
