University City Division

The University City Division covers approximately 46.8 square miles in northern Mecklenburg County and has an estimated population of 93,551. There are 96 Officers, 3 Response Area Commanders, 7 Sergeants, 1 Investigative Technician and a Captain assigned to the division. The office is located at 8401 University Executive Park Drive #120, Charlotte NC 28262. 

The division is divided into three geographically distinct response areas. Each has a Response Area Team that is responsible for reducing crime at the neighborhood level.  A Response Area Commander leads each team and serves as the area's primary police representative. The division also has a Focused Mission Team which the division commander is able to deploy strategically to be a proactive force in crime hot spots and to address emerging problems.
