North Tryon Division

About Us

The North Tryon Division
comprises nearly 13.4 square miles of historic and older communities, including a strong commercial and industrial presence in north Charlotte. There are 83 Officers, 8 Sergeants, 1 Investigative Technician and a Captain assigned to the division.  The office is now located at 4045 N. Tryon Street Suite B (same building as the Sugar Creek Library), near the intersection with Sugar Creek Road.

The division is divided into three response areas and operates three standard work shifts with one overlapping day shift.  The majority of officers are assigned to these shifts, although the district also has Community Coordinators.

North Tryon Division office is not staffed 24 hours a day, however we do have voice mail on our phone line. 

  • If you want police to respond to your location, dial 911. 
  • If you want to make a report by telephone, dial 311. 
  • If you would like to speak to an officer about a particular problem please call our office. If no one is available, please leave a message on our voice mail. Your call will be returned as soon as possible.
