Metro Division

About Us

The Metro Division comprises 13.3 square miles of historic and older communities with diverse populations, including a strong commercial and industrial presence in northwest Charlotte. There are 92 Officers, 3 Response Area Commanders, 7 Sergeants, 1 Investigative Technician, and a Captain assigned to the division.

The division's new office is located at 1118 Beatties Ford Road at the corner of Beatties Ford and Renner.

The division is divided into three  geographically distinct response areas. Each has a Response Area Team that is responsibile for reducing crime at the neighborhood level. A Response Area Commander leads each team and serves as the area's primary police representative. The division also has a Focused Mission Team which the division commander is able to deploy strategically to be a proactive force in crime hot spots and to address emerging problems.

The Metro DIvision operates three standard work shifts and two overlapping shifts.
