Metro Division

About Us

The Metro Division
comprises 13.3 square miles of historic and older communities with diverse populations, including a strong commercial and industrial presence in northwest Charlotte. There are 92 Officers, 8 Sergeants, 1 Investigative Technician, and a Captain assigned to the division.

The office is currently located at Police Headquarters, 601 East Trade Street, at the corner of Trade and S. Davidson Sts. Officers also work out of the the community's Northwest Service Center located at 2324 LaSalle Street, at the intersection with Beatties Ford Road. 

The division is divided into three response areas and operates three standard work shifts with two overlapping shifts. A specialized squad of Community Coordinators operates on an independent schedule.  For more information about division personnel, points of contact, and special units and projects, please view the additional information about the division.

The Metro Division office is not staffed 24 hours a day, however we do have voice mail on our phone line, 704.336.8300.
