On May 6, 2008, Tiamonta Robbins was convicted and sentenced to 82-108 months in the North Carolina Department of Corrections. Robbins was convicted for a robbery that he committed on March 6, 2007. The victim in that robbery, a Frito Lay delivery truck driver, was making a delivery at the Pilot Station on Statesville Avenue. While in his delivery truck, he was approached by a black male suspect. The suspect produced a handgun, pointed it at the victim and demanded money. The victim attempted to flee and fell from the truck, causing severe damage to his wrist. The suspect then took a computer bag from the truck and fled the scene. The suspect was later identified as Tiamonta Robbins.
On June 11, 2007, Tiamonta Robbins was arrested on warrants related to the above incident. Robbins was on probation for a previous narcotics charge at the time of arrest. Robbins has been arrested six times in Mecklenburg County, NC.
