CMPD's Homicide Cold Case Unit arrested Mandrey Davis (BM, DOB  10/10/1974) for the May 11, 1999 murder of Kiawana Grace (BF, DOB 10/22/1975)..

Officers in the North Tryon Division responded to a 911 call at 405/D Hilo Dr. in reference to a possible deceased person. Upon arriving on the scene, officers found the body of Kiawana Grace inside her apartment. The victim had sustained an apparent gunshot wound and was pronouced dead at the scene.

Davis was arrested at his residence, 2223 Rozzelles Ferry Rd. He is charged with Murder and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.

Since it began in 2003, the Cold Case Unit has made 17 arrests and cleared 25 homicide cases.
