Chief Darrel Stephens today promoted Major David L. Graham, Jr. to Deputy Chief to fill the vacancy left when Deputy Chief K.D. Williams retired at the end of May.  Deputy Chief Graham will lead the Investigative Services Group. Deputy Chief Nina Wright, who now holds that position, will retire at the end of June.

Chief Stephens also promoted Captain Eddie Levins to Major, Sergeant Lisa Goelz to Captain and Officer Bradford Koch to Sergeant. These recommendations were presented to and approved by the Civil Service Board on June 5. 

The following transfers also are effective June 8: Major Eddie Levins to the East Service Area; Captain Steve Willis to the Intelligence and Organized Crime Investigations Division; Captain Brian Cunningham to the Freedom Division; Captain Lisa Goelz to the Watch Commander's Office; Sergeant Bradford Koch to the Hickory Grove Division, and; Sergeant Steve Murphy to Internal Affairs. Deputy Chief Ken Miller's new assignment is the Administrative Services Group. He will, however, continue to lead the Support Services Group until a new Deputy Chief is named.
