Story Renews Questions About Fleishmann Case

April 30, 2008

A story recently aired on national news has raised questions about a local case (http://kstp.com/article/stories/s421846.shtml?v=1). The story profiles 40 cases involving the deaths of male college students and the theory that the deaths may be linked to a group of serial killers. In these cases, the killers have left a signature near the bodies of water in which the victims were found. Most of these cases were originally classified as drownings.

The CMPD has received inquiries regarding the possibility that Kyle Fleischmann was a victim in this suspected series. Kyle, 24, was reported missing Friday, November 9, 2007, after leaving a center city bar between 2:00-2:30 a.m. "We remain open to any and all possibilities in this and all investigations, although we have no indications that Kyle's disappearance is linked to these other cases," said Detective Tuttle, who is investigating Kyle's disappearance. "Our focus remains on finding any physical evidence or witnesses that will lead to locating Kyle or the circumstances surrounding his disappearance," he said.

Anyone with any information regarding the disappearance of Kyle Fleischmann should contact Detective Lee Tuttle at 704-336-3949.  If you would like to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
