Homicide detectives obtained a murder warrant for Martin Davis who turned himself in at the Mecklenburg County Intake Center January 13th. Davis is the second person charged in the murder of Leroy Hodge, Jr. Police already charged Jaquan Weathers for the January 12, 2007 shooting death of Leroy Hodge, Jr. and members of CMPD's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) and SWAT arrested Jaquan Weathers at the Red Roof Inn, 3300 Queen City Drive, shortly after midnight on January 13th.
On January 12, 2007, at approximately 5:27 AM, Metro Division officers responded to 2225 Alma Court in reference to someone shot. Upon arrival, officers located one male inside the residence suffering from an apparent gun shot wound. The victim, Mr. Hodges, was pronounced deceased on the scene by MEDIC.
