Both the suspect vehicle and the two listed suspects have been located and are in police custody at this time. The Virginia State Police located the Red Chevy Cobalt in Bland, VA and took the two occupants of the vehicle into custody. At this time the specifics of the arrest are unknown. CMPD Homicide Detectives are currently en route to Virginia to interview the two suspects.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Homicide Detectives are currently investigating a homicide at 5542 South Blvd. Shortly before 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday September 9, 2008 a business owner arrived at work at Carolina Cleaners and went to take out the trash. The business owner observed a large plastic bag adjacent to the dumpster which appeared suspicious and out of place to them. They immediately called 911.
Westover Division officers arrived on scene and believed there was a body inside the plastic bag, which was confirmed by Homicide detectives. The victim has been identified as Alexandria Salem (DOB 8/10/1962). Detectives believe that Ms. Salem was assaulted and murdered at 131 Red Roof Drive in the Steele Creek Division and that her body was then dumped behind 5542 South Boulevard. Murder warrants have been obtained for Leslie Morales, the victim's daughter, (DOB 7/21/1987) and Daniel Francis Pataki (DOB 11/18/1985).
