Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Homicide Detectives are investigating a shooting at the All Stars Nightclub, located at 5638 Albemarle Rd, in the Independence Division.  The call for service came in at 2:35 a.m. on Friday, November 28, 2008.

Independence Division officers responded to a call for service regarding someone shot on Albemarle Rd.  Upon arrival, they located the shooting victim deceased in the parking lot.  The victim has been identified; pending family notification the victim’s name will be released.

Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Search units are on scene processing the crime scene for physical evidence. 

According to witness statements, a large crowd was gathering in the parking lot at closing when the victim was approached by several unknown suspects.  In addition, a white Chevrolet Caprice was seen fleeing the scene inbound on Albemarle Rd.

Detectives are working to identify the individual(s) involved in the incident and are continuing to process the scene for physical evidence.  Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 704-432-TIPS and speak to a Homicide Unit detective directly.  Detective A.
