August 10, 2007

What Is Exploring? What do Police Explorers Do? How can you participate? Join us for this new members meeting and find out!

Young adults interested in exploring a career in law enforcement are invited to join us for a New Members meeting of the Police Explorers Monday, August 27, 2007. The event will be held at the Police Academy at 1770 Shopton Road beginning at 6:30 p.m. with displays of police equipment and vehicles. The new members meeting will be held in the auditorium beginning at 7:30 p.m.

CMPD's Police Exploring program introduces students to the world of law enforcement at the local, state, and national levels. Explorers receive training in several aspects of police work, ride in a patrol car with an experienced officer on the job and compete with other posts in state, regional and national conferences.

    - Must have no serious arrests
    - Must maintain a 2.0 GPA in school
