Around 11:30 a.m., the suspect approached the victim, who was sitting on a bench, forced her to go with him behind a building and sexually assaulted and robbed her. He was attempting to take her to a second location when she ran away and began screaming, which attracted attention from others in the park. As the suspect was running through the park, several people were instrumental in assisting South Division officers with tracking his whereabouts until he was apprehended and placed in custody.
