From demonstrating acts of gallantry and bravery which clearly went beyond the call of duty to acting with courage to ensure the safety of their fellow officers, CMPD officers, civilian employees and citizens will be honored tonight in a special ceremony that highlights their outstanding performance and achievements.  Some individuals being recognized tonight have put their life on the line in order to save others, while others have distinguished themselves through both heroic actions and exceptional service to the Department and the community.  

 The ceremony will be held tonight at the Police Training Academy at 1750 Shopton Road from 5:30pm – 7:00pm in the auditorium.  A reception will follow immediately after the ceremony.
