CMPD Homicide Detectives Investigate DV Related Homicide on Rupert Ln.

Daniel Jaworski has been taken into custody by North Tryon Division officers.  He is currently at police headquarters where he will be interviewed by Homicide detectives and then transported to the Mecklenburg County Jail.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Homicide Detectives are currently investigating a domestic related homicide at 5629 Rupert Ln. The victim in this incident is Roschelle Woyee (DOB 11/12/1989). The incident occurred on Thursday, December 4, 2008 shortly after 10:00 p.m. at 5629 Rupert Ln. in the North Tryon Division.

North Tryon Division officers responded to a call for service in reference to a domestic related incident in which one individual had been shot. When officers arrived on scene they located Ms. Woyee in the back yard of the residence suffering from an apparent gun shot wound. Ms. Woyee was pronounced deceased on scene by Medic.

Homicide, ADW detectives, and Crime Scene Search units are on scene processing the crime scene for physical evidence.

Based on the preliminary investigation and witness statements, there was a call for service at 4:09 p.m. at a separate location that involved a domestic dispute between Ms. Woyee and Daniel J. Jaworski. Later on, Mr. Jaworski arrived at Ms. Woyee's residence and another altercation occurred. A witness advised he heard Ms. Woyee cry for help and then heard gun shots. When he located Ms. Woyee she had been shot.

Homicide detectives are in the process of obtaining warrants on Daniel John Jaworski, W/M, (DOB 8/7/1988) for the murder of Ms. Woyee. He was last seen wearing white tee shirt, black hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and white sneakers.

Mr. Jaworski may be operating a black Jeep, a blue Cadillac with blue stripes and 22" rims, or a red car with white stripes. Mr. Jaworski should be considered armed and dangerous. If anyone has information about Mr. Jaworski's whereabouts please call either 704.336.VCAT or 911.
