CMPD Arrests Suspect in Shooting on October Court

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers have taken Shea Anthony Roseboro into custody for Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill, Inflicting Serious Injuries that involved the shooting of a juvenile victim on September 1, 2008 on October Court. Members of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) arrested Mr. Roseboro on September 2, 2008 at approximately 10:40 a.m.

VCAT officers developed information that led them to an apartment complex off of Reddman Road where Mr. Roseboro was staying. Upon arrival, VCAT established complete containment of the apartment building. VCAT officers took Mr. Roseboro into custody without incident when he exited the apartment and walked towards the wood line behind the apartment complex

September 1, 2008

Metro Division officers responded to the 2900 block of October Court in reference to a male victim who had been shot.  When officers arrived they located the juvenile victim near the street with what appeared to be a single gunshot wound.  The victim was transported by Medic to Carolinas Medical Center with serious injuries.

The suspect was identified shortly after the incident as Shea Anthony Roseboro, B/M, DOB 09/07/1989.  A warrant was issued for Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill, Inflicting Serious Injuries.
