ADW Detectives Identifed Red Hickory Lane Shooter

Earlier today Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) located and arrested Daniel Antonio Green on an outstanding warrant for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

VCAT was able to develop information which led them to 11827 Musket Lane where they believed that Mr. Green was staying. VCAT officers made contact with Mr. Green and he surrendered to them without incident.

Mr. Green was transported to CMPD headquarters and interviewed by ADW detectives.

This was the first case that VCAT and the new ADW unit have worked together. ADW detectives contacted VCAT the night of the shooting and they began working the case together. They continued to keep in contact over the next two days, ultimately leading to the arrest of Daniel Green.

September 7, 2008

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department ADW detectives are investigating the shooting of a male at 12100 Red Hickory Lane. The incident occurred shortly before 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 07, 2008. The male victim has been identified as Karl Kincaid (DOB 12/25/1964).



Steele Creek Division officers responded to a call for service in reference to one individual being shot at 12100 Red Hickory Lane. According to the witness statement the witness, victim, and known suspect were inside the residence watching football when an argument broke out between the victim and the suspect. The witness advised that he asked the suspect to leave the residence; the suspect complied and then returned a short time later and shot the victim at least one time and fled the scene.

The victim was transported to Carolinas Medical Center by Medic where he is currently in stable condition.

CMPD ADW detectives have signed warrants on Daniel Antonio Green, B/M, (DOB 4/2/1983) for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
