Wanted for Rape: Tavarus Maurice Simpson

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) is looking for this suspect who forced entry into a residence and raped the victim at gunpoint. The suspect also robbed and physically assaulted two other victims in the residence.
The following warrants were issued on 01/09/2006: 1st Degree Rape, Attempted 1st degree Rape, 2 Counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, 1st Degree Kidnapping, 2 Counts of 2nd Degree Kidnapping, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and 1st Degree Burglary. Simpson is aware that he has warrants.
He could possibly be driving a 1990's green Cadillac Deville, 20 inch rims, cream-colored rag top, tinted windows, gold trim around the bottom of the vehicle, and a South Carolina tag.
Simpson frequents Southwest Charlotte, in particular the Steele Creek area.
