The Pitbull Wrestling Team has been established since 1996, and have produced over 40   champions over the the last 10 years. We are sponsored by both Mecklenburg County Park & Recreation and the Charlotte Police Department's Police Athletic League.  The Pitbulls accept both boys and girls, ages 5 thru 15.

The Pitbulls are one of the winningest teams in NC AAU wrestling history. They have won the NCAAU State Championship seven years in a row. Starting in the year 2001, they came in second place in 2000 and started a dynasty ever since. The team has either won or placed second in every team tournament since 2001.

Team Philosophy:
Work hard and stay focused. You are only as good as your workout partner. The Pitbulls are known for being physical, we condition hard and drill hard to develop a hard nose attitude. We develop our move from the basics and build on them. We teach moves in series and try to help wrestlers develop their own strategy based on their strength , body build and quickness. Our coaching staff experiments with different techniques in conditioning, mat skills and mental toughness. This seems to be the formula that keep us on top. See our list of champions
