Crime Story
On August 18, 1973 at 11:30 p.m., Ronnie Young, Charles McCain and Richard Gordon shot and killed the victim #1 who was 17 and victim #2 who was 20, at the Burger Chef on Wilkinson Blvd. Both victims were leaving for the night and Young thought they were carrying the night deposit. As they exited the building and entered their car, the three gunmen opened fire on them. Gordon was carrying a 30-30 rifle, Young had a 12 ga. shotgun and McCain used a two-two caliber handgun. The victims were shot multiple times and died at the scene. Fellow employees who were also leaving at the time of the incident saw the attack.
