Crime Story
On March 12, 1982 the victim picked up Larry Wilson on Kings Drive and took him to an apartment at 1121 Myrtle Avenue.  The victim did not rent the apartment but it was a friend's residence and he often brought male friends to the address.

According to Wilson, the victim made sexual advances toward him.  He stated that the victim attempted to harm him with a large piece of brick or rock and he wrestled the item from the victim and struck him in the head several times with it.  Once the victim was incapacitated Wilson removed items from the victim including jewelry and credit cards.  Wilson left the apartment and stole the victim's vehicle as well.

The victim's friends returned home shortly after the crime and found him in a pool of blood and called 911.  The victim died at the hospital.

Wilson heard about the murder on the television and left town to hide from police.  He was arrested on a fugitive murder warrant days later in Washington, DC where he confessed to the crime.

Wilson pled guilty to Second Degree Murder and was sentenced to LIFE in prison.  Wilson had served time for maiming a male friend in 1979.  In that case, he beat the victim in the head with a brick and pulled on of his eyes out.
