Crime Story
On the 22nd of September 1994, Atavas Wilson got out of a vehicle to buy some reefer at a drug house. Wilson had started carrying a pistol because he heard that the victim was out to get him for snitching on a friend. As Wilson was walking up to the house, the victim walked out of an unlit pathway toward him. 

According to Wilson, they were arguing when the victim made a sudden movement. Wilson stated he thought the victim was going for a gun, so he shot him. The victim was unarmed. The victim died as a result of a gunshot wound to the head. 

Atavas Wilson pled guilty to second-degree murder. He was sentenced to serve 35 years in prison.
