Crime Story:
Sheila Fowler and her acquaintance Herman Williams conspired to kill Fowler's mother, the victim, for insurance money. On February 7, 1982 Sheila left a key in the mailbox of her mother's home for Williams to obrtain and enter the house.

Williams beat the victim about the head and face and strangled her to death with a telephone cord. Williams ransacked the house afterward to make the incident appear to be a break-in and robbery.

Sheila Fowler was charged with her mother's murder and pled guilty to Second Degree Murder. She served 5 years of a 15 year sentence and was released. Shield is currently on probation and parole for unrelated offenses she has committed since her mother's murder.

Williams was found guilty of First Degree Murder and was sentenced to Life.
