Crime Story
On January 28, 1983, Wonald Westmorlan was at 4500 #9 Wynbrook Way at a party that was being given by victim #3 and victim #4. Westmorelan got into an argument with victim #4 around 9:45 p.m. over a football gambling debt Westmorelan owned him. Westmorelan left the apartment angry and went to 408 Whispering Pines Ln. where victim #1 and her son, victim #2 lived. Westmorelan had been living with victims #1 and #2 off and on and also owed victim #2 a gambling debt. When Westmoreland arrived at the victims' residence an unknown argument erupted between the parties and Westmoreland used a .22 caliber rifle to shoot and kill victim #1 and #2.

When he knocked on the door victim #3 and #4 opened the door and Westmorelan opened fire on the two. Victim #4 was shot in the cest and ran toward the kitchen and victim #3 was shot in the chest as well and managed to stumble into the parking lot of the complex and collapse. Victim #3 ran to a neighbor's apartment through the back yard and survived his wound. Others at the paraty were able to identify Westmorelan as having been at victim #1 and #2's residence the night their murders occurred.

Westmorelan was tried and convicted of two counts of second degree murder, one count of first degree murder and Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury. He was sentenced to life for the first degree and 15 years each for the second degree murders. He received 6 years for the ADWIKISI.
