Crime Story:
On February 17th, 1994, Victim #2 got into a verbal confrontation with Darryl Weddington at a local convenience store.  As victim #2 exited the store and walked toward the vehicle belonging to his friend, Weddington's uncle, Clarence Weddington, pulled out a handgun and began shooting at them.  Victim #2 jumped into the vehicle and the driver, Victim #1, attempted to speed away.

Weddington exited the store, grabbed a shotgun from his vehicle and also shot at the vehicle.  Victim #1 was shot in the head and died instantly.  Victim #2 was not injured.  A jury found Weddington guilty of second degree murder,  ADWIKISI (2 counts) and discharging a firearm into occupied property. 

Clarence Weddington was sentenced to consecutively serve 50 years for second degree murder, 20 years for one count of ADWIKISI, 10 years for another county of ADWISISI, and 10 years for discharging a firearm into occupied property.

Darryl Weddington was convicted of the same charges and was released on 11-5-05.
