Crime Story
On the 12th of July 1974, the victim and his wife closed his dry cleaning business for the day. The victim and his wfe walked to their vehicle with the moneybag ready to deposit before they went home. As they approached their vehicle, they observed Larry Waddell standing on the sidewalk with some clothes wrapped around his arm hiding something.

Larry Waddell flipped the clothes off the shotgun he was hiding and pointed the shotgun at the victim. Waddell told the victim to give him the bag, then fired at him. The victim was struck in the neck and chest area at close range. Waddell picked up the moneybag and ran from the scene.

A jury found Larry Waddell guilty of first-degree murder and sentenced him to death. His death sentence was overturned in 1975. He was sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison.
