Crime Story:
On the 29th of April 1980, Roger Thompson entered a local store and shot the owner of the store in the back with a shotgun. Roger took the money from the cash register and ran out of the store. At the time of the robbery,

Roger had been on funeral leave from prison and escaped DOC custody. He had been serving time in prison for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Armed Robbery. The owner of the store suffered serious injury from being shot in the back with a 12-gage shotgun.

Roger Thompson was found guilty of Armed Robbery and sentenced to serve life in prison.
