Crime Story
On July 30, 1993, Anthon Thompson entered a Radisson Hotel, handed the front desk clerk a plastic bag, and told the clerk to give him the money in the register. The clerk advised she did not see a weapon, but he made threats implying he had one.

He performed 13 separate counts of common law robbery in the same fashion as described. Thompson pled guilty to six counts of common law robbery. He was sentenced to serve 48 years in prison.
