Crime Story:
On the 24th of January 1975, Taylor arranged for himself and a co-defendant to be driven to a parking lot.  Taylor had equipped himself with a long coat belonging to his father.  Taylor hid a 12-gage sawed off shotgun under the coat and wore a wing for a disguise.  Taylor and the co-defendant went to the Homestead Grocery run by the victim and her husband.  There Taylor pulled the sawed off shotgun out from under the coat and demanded money from the victim.  when she refused to give him the money, Taylor shot her in the chest.  Seeing his wife shot, the victim's husband grabbed a pistol and chased them from the store. 

At Taylor's first trial, the jury returned a death verdict.  Subsequently, he had to be retried.  He was again convicted for first degree murder and sentenced to life in prison.
