Crime Story
On August 24, 1993 Kenneth Dion Sinclair went to the victim's residence during the early morning hours.  Sinclair was a friend of the victim's son.  While Sinclair was visiting the victim he made a sexual advance toward her which she rejected.  Sinclair became enraged and according to his confession found a hammer in the residence and began to beat the victim in the head with the hammer.  The victim fell to the floor and Sinclair continued to beat her in the head with the manner. 

Sinclair dragged the victim out of the apartment and into the parking lot in front of her residence and continued to beat and kick her while she was lying on the ground.  Neighbors of the victim hear noises and saw Sinclair in the parking lot beating and kicking the victim. 

Neighbors then called the police and upon their arrival the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  Sinclair had fled the scene before the arrival of police and was apprehended later.
