Crime Story:
The victim went to the police September 2, 1997 and advised them that between 1968 and 1973 her uncle Samuel Richardson had raped her and her cousin on several occasions. The victim was between five and ten years old when the rapes occurred.  She never came forward as a child.  The victim told police that the incidents would occur when they were staying with Richardson or he would pick them up and take them places and rape them. 

The police asked the victim to call Richardson and have him talk about the incidents and they would tape the conversation. 

After the police made their case Richardson was charged with Rape and Indecent Liberties.  Richardson pled guilty to the charges and was sentenced to 45 years as a result.
