Crime Story
On November 23, 1002, Latimer Evans Pettiford along with two other accomplices conducted a home invasion at 320 S. Torrence Street where a total of eight people were gathered.  Pettiford and the other two suspects kicked the front door in and proceeded to rob the individuals inside of money.  After the money was collected, Pettiford shot two of the victims, killing both.  One of the other suspects also started shooting.   Two other victims were wounded, but survived. 

Latimer E. Pettiford was found guilty of Second Degree Murder and sentenced to LIFE in prison.
