Crime Story
On the 11th of May, 1992, the victim attempted to buy drugs at the corner of Mayfair Avenue and Wingate Street when Alfonzo Benson, Fernando Mason and Shelton Crocket abducted her at gunpoint.  They took her to a secluded area where all three subjects forcibly raped her. 

Afterwards, they drove back behind some apartments on North Stream Drive.  Benson pulled her out of the vehicle by her hair and threw her to the ground.  All three subjects began to beat and kick her in the face.  Benson dragged her to the middle of the street and shot the victim in the chest and stomach.  She was found dead in the street.  All three subjects left in her vehicle.  They drove to a local Waffle House to have breakfast. 

Fernando Mason pled guilty to second degree murder and first degree kidnapping.  He was sentenced to serve LIFE in prison.  Alfonzo Benson pled guilty to second degree murder, second degree rape and first degree kidnapping.  He was sentenced to LIFE in prison.  Shelton Crocket pled guilty to second degree murder.  He was sentenced to LIFE in prison.
