Crime Story
On the 18th of December 1993, Antonio B. Lovett and his cousin were at a local bar drinking with some friends. His cousin left the keys to his car on a table and Lovett took them without his permission. When his cousin left the bar to leave, he observed Lovett speeding down the street in his car. 

Lovett was driving southbound on 35th street when he failed to stop for a stop sign at The Plaza. Lovett's vehicle struck a van and continued westbound on The Plaza. The driver and the passenger suffered minor injury from the accident. Agents from the Railroad Police later observed Lovett driving westbound on West 24th street with his headlights off. The agents stated that he made a left turn on North Graham Street against a red light and nearly collided with a station wagon. Agents advised that Lovett continued down North Graham toward Dalton Ave at a high rate of speed. They further advised that he failed to stop for the red light at North Graham and Dalton Ave, went airborne when it hit some ruts in the road at the intersection and collided with the victim's vehicle. The victim was transported to the hospital were he was pronounced dead by medical staff. He died as a result of blunt trauma to his chest. Antonio Lovett's blood alcohol concentration was over the state's legal limit. 

A jury found Antonio Lovett guilty of second-degree murder. He was sentenced to serve 45 years in prison.
