Crime Story
On July 8, 1973 at approximately 8:25 p.m. the victim walked out the front door of his aunt's house to catch the bus to go home.  The victim was seen picking up a small child belonging to an eyewitness and held the child in his arms.  The witness observed the victim walk over to a vehicle parked near the residence.  When the victim came to the passenger side window he was shot two times.  The victim was still holding the child.  The victim died as a result of the gunshot wounds.

The passenger who shot the victim was identified as Gregory Johnson.  He was convicted of First Degree Murder and sentenced to LIFE in prison.

Johnson was considered for the MAPP program in February 2003.  He was placed on the program but was written up for an unknown violation and removed from the program.
