Crime Story
On the 28th of December 1978, Ronald Hines knocked on the door to victim's apartment. She answered the door and asked who was there. Hines told her that he had struck her vehicle in the parking lot and needed to use the phone to call his insurance company. When she opened the door, he forced his way into the apartment armed with a knife.

Hines then forced her into her bedroom. He told her that if she did not cooperate, he would kill her. Unable to obtain an erection, he forced the victim into the living room. After a short period, he was able to obtain an erection and forcibly raped her. He left the apartment after threatening to kill her if she called the police. 

He was apprehended a short distance from the apartment complex. Ronald Hines pled guilty to first-degree rape. He was sentenced to serve life in prison.
