Crime Story

On April 24, 1993, Thomas Milton Harrison was arrested for 72 home break-ins. He led detectives to each of the homes where he committed the break-ins. (some were broken into two times.) Harrison signed a confession for the Larceny Breaking and Entering that he committed, and after further investigation he was also charged with four other break-ins. He stole a large variety of items, including a 9mm handgun, a shotgun, a sawed off shotgun, electronics, jewelry, liquors, as well as clothing. His method of entry was usually through a front or back door, by breaking them in and occasionally through a window.

Harrison started serving a six year sentence for second degree rape on 9/21/84 and was releases 4/20/90, receiving a five year probation period. He was then arrested 4/24/93 for the mentioned felonies. Harrison committed a string of 72 break-ins within a period of three years.

According to his file Harrison committed home break-ins when he was a juvenile and was also arrested for assault on the victim either by himself or his partner. His file also indicated that he was a drug abuser.
