Crime Story
The victim and a female shared custody of a son.  On February 20, 1994 the victim went to the female's mother's home where she was living at 2312 Bancroft St. and picked up his son as well as a daughter of the female and Andrew Grier who was the female's current boyfriend.  The victim wanted to take the children to a nearby park to allow them to play.  Grier did not like the victim having a relationship of any kind with his children and when he found out that the victim had taken his child to play he was angry.

Grier traveled to the home of the victim and when the victim brought the children back from the playground Grier confronted him.  While in the presence of the female, their children and the female's mother Grier pulled a handgun from his waistband and shot the victim several times.  The victim died as a result of his wounds.

Grier fled the scene and went to his mother's home where he admitted shooting the victim.  Grier was later arrested and pled guilty to Second Degree Murder and was sentenced to LIFE in prison.
