Crime Story
On the night of the 12th of January 1975, the victim answered a knock at her door. Dewey L. Gray asked her if he could use her phone. The victim told him that her phone was out of order. Gray forced his way into the residence and pulled a gun on her. The victim ran outside and Gray chased after her.

The victim made it back inside her house, locked the door, and called the police as she hid in an upstairs closet. Gray forced his way back into the residence and found her hiding in the upstairs closet. He forced her outside into a field behind the apartment where he raped her, beat her and stabbed her. The victim was transported to the hospital where she was treated for her injuries.
