Crime Story
On February 22, 1994, Christopher Eugene Evans walked to 1209 Louise Avenue in Charlotte and approached the three victims, Vivian Deloris Carter, Addie Deloris Davis and Pamela Carter Dover. Evans was the  ex-boyfriend of Vivian Carter and she had been assaulted by him in the past. Prior to this event, she had taken a warrant out on Evans along with a restraining order for a recent assault.

The victims were washing a car and one of the victims, Pamela Dover had two children playing in the yard  when they observed Evans approaching.  All three victims and the children ran into the house when they saw Christopher E. Evans with a handgun. Just as they oced the front door Evans kicked the door open and began shooting. All three victims were struck by the gunfire from Evans' handgun. Immediately following the shooting, Evans fled the scene.

All three victims were transported to Carolinas Medical Center. Vivian Deloris Carter sustained gunshot injury to her stomach, right hip, right arm and pelvis. Addie Deloris Davis sustained gunshot injury to her head and neck area near the collarbone and Pamela Carter Dover sustained gunshot injury to her right hip area and left foot.

Christopher E. Evans pled guilty to three counts of AWDWWITISI and received a sentence of 20 years.
