Crime Story
On February 22, 1994, Christopher Eugene Evans walked to 1209 Louise Avenue in Charlotte and approached three victims, Vivian Deloris Carter, Addie Deloris Davis and Pamela Carter Dover. The victims were washing a car and one of the victims, Pamela Dover had two children playing in the years when they observed Christopher Evans approaching the front yard. All three victims along with the children ran into the house when they saw Christopher Evans with a handgun.

Just as they locked the front door, Christopher Evans kicked the door open and began shooting. All three victims were struck by the gunfire from the handgun. Immediately following the shooting, Christopher fled the scene.  All three victims were transported to Carolinas Medical Center (CMC). Vivian Deloris Carter sustained gunshot injury to her head and neck area near the collarbone. Pamela Carter Dover sustain gunshot injury to her right hip area and left foot.

It was learned that Christopher E. Evans was the ex-boyfriend of Vivian Deloris Carter and she had been assaulted by him in the part. Prior to the shooting, Vivian Carter had taken a warrant out on Evans along with a restraining order for a recent assault.

Christopher Evans pled to to three counts of AWDWWITISI and received a sentence of 20 years on each count.
