Crime Story:
On February 28, 1992, the victim's mother was talking with her daughter on the phone when she heard two shots in the background.  The victim's mother called 911 and met the police at the daughter's apartment.  The police found the victim deceased with two bullet wounds from a 22 caliber pistol. 

Charles Evans was observed walking away from the scene.  He was questioned about the murder and confessed to killing the victim.  The two had lived together for approximately three years.

Charles Evans was sentenced to LIFE in prison.
