Crime Story
In the early morning house of January 3, 1984, the victim was approached by Frederick Donald Clark in the 300 block of Bacon Avenue in Charlotte.  Clark robbed the victim of his wallet and jewelry.  The victim attempted to run away from Clark and Clark fired several rounds in the victim's direction from a .38 caliber revolver he was carrying. 

The victim was struck in his right thigh.  He ran several yards away and collapsed in a vacant lot.  Clark fled the scene.  The victim's main artery in his right leg had been severed and he bled to death where he collapsed.  His body was found on January 4, 1984 by a utility worker. 

Clark was later arrested as a result of an investigation and was tried for the murder of the victim.  Clark was found guilty and was sentenced to LIFE in prison.
