Crime Story On the evening of November 23, 1992, Andrian Norman, Latimer Pettiford and Terrence Champelle forced entry into a local residence with the intention of committing a robbery. All of the suspects were armed and had their faces covered with masks. Once inside the residence, they forced the occupants to the floor and robbed them of belongings and money. They had been informed that there was a safe in the house, so that forced one of the occupants show them where the safe was located. They took the safe with all its contents.
Pettiford confessed that he shot two of the victims during the robbery. Victim #1 died as a result of gunshot wounds to the head. Pettiford advised that when he began shooting, Terrance Champelle fired his weapon also. As a result Victim #2 was shot in the right ankle and left shoulder, and Victim #3 was shot in the stomach. Adrian Norman was sentenced to serve 42 years in prison for two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Latimer Pettiford was sentienced to serve life in prison for second-degree murder. Terrence Champelle was sentenced to serve life in prison for second-degree murder.
