Crime Story
On the 13th of October 1989, Michael Burton and the victim had been drinking wine in their apartment when an argument developed and Burton hit the victim in the mouth. The victim went to her bedroom to get away from him. Burton went into the kitchen, grabbed a knife and followed her into the kitchen. The argument escalated. Burton stabbed the victim multiple times. 

The victim had cuts on her hands from the knife as she attempted to defend herself against Burton. The victim died from a series of multiple stab wounds. Michael Burton and the victim had a lengthy assault history. In one previous incident, Burton had stabbed the victim, which caused serious injury. 

Michael Burton plead to second-degree murder. He was sentence to Life in prison.
