Crime Story:
On January 21 1994, Curtis Brown broke into a residence by prying open the rear window.  Once inside the residence, Brown attempted to take a VCR from a cabinet when something spooked him.  A neighborhood had seen him standing on the air conditioning unit outside the house and called the police.  Patrol units found him nearby covered with paint chips from crawling through the rear window.   Neighbors identified him as the suspect they observed breaking into the house. 

Curtis Brown pled guilty to second-degree burglary and habitual felon.  Brown has been convicted six times for B& E prior to this incident.
