Crime Story
On March 3, 1994, Regina Walters called the victim.  She told him that she had broken up with her boyfriend and had no place to go.  when he arrived at her motel room, both James McMullen and Timothy Bell were lying in wait for him. 

Regina left the room to get ice after he entered the room.  Both McMullen and bell jumped him.  McMullen struck the victim multiple times on the back of the head, back and neck with a baseball bat, and Bell shot him in the chest with a .22 caliber pistol.  They stuffed a rag in his mouth and drive him to Albemarle, NC.  After stripping him of his jewelry, beeper and money, they tossed his body off a bridge into a river. 

Timothy Bell pled to second degree murder.  He was sentenced to serve 45 years in prison.  James McMullen pled to second degree murder.  He was sentenced to served 45 years in prison.  Regina Walters pled to second degree murder.  She was sentenced to serve 45 years in prison.
